The CSSC’s bi-annual Curling BonSpiels are a few of the most fun tournaments of the year. They're so much fun that we even nicknamed them 'FunSpiels'! Never curled before? No problem; this is a really recreational event that’s all about fun. Teams can enjoy a few drinks in between games (in the true spirit of Curling, of course) while watching crazy tosses and take-outs happening down on the sheets. This is a themed event and all teams are encouraged to dress to impress – prizes are awarded to the best team costume!

  • 10:00am to 6:00pm

Official times will be sent to teams no later than 5:00pm on Thursday the week of the event

Equipment

  • All players must bring a pair of clean indoor-only shoes to wear on the ice.

  • Some sliders and brooms will be available onsite, but you'll have to share!

Format / Roster

  • Guaranteed 4 (3-end) matches

  • Teams consist of 4 players (no co-ed requirements)

  • All participants must be 18+ years old

  • The top team in each division will be awarded champ prizing, and there will be a draw-off between all 4 to determine the Ultimate FunSpiel Champ.

  • Divisions: All Skill Levels! Whether it's your first time out on the ice, or you're a seasoned pro, you're welcome at this event. We'll match you up against people of similar skill level throughout the day.

The Fun

  • 50/50 & Door Prizes: There will be door prizes throughout the day as well as a 50/50 so you can earn some cold hard cash and donate to one of our community partners.

  • The onsite bar doesn't shut down until you do; stay as long as you like upstairs in the lounge to keep the fun going all night long.

  • The 'Doubles Board': To win, you need to knock at least two of your opponents rocks out of the house in one shot. When you do, grab the board! If another person makes a double takeout before the end of the third end, they can steal the board away from you. Last person with the board wins a free drink!

The Theme

  • Hear ye, hear ye! The Knights of the Curling Stone hereby request your presence at ye olde medieval Curling FunSpiel. Come hither and join our merry gathering for a day of curling and sundry jolly revelries!

  • Best Costume Award: The team with the best themed costume will win a sweet, sweet prize

Cancellation Policy: Please contact the CSSC office no later than Friday the week before the event to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be given after this point.
