Learn to Golf

Learn to Play Golf This Summer!

Do you find yourself struggling to hit the fairway? Are you too intimidated to step onto a golf course? The CSSC Learn-To-Golf Programs are designed to increase familiarity of the game and hone your skills. Whether you are a total beginner, or consistently shank your drives, this program will drive your game forward while still maintaining the fun atmosphere that the CSSC is known for.
The 5-week program will focus on long game, short game, and playing on a course. Each session will be in a group setting, led by a pro.

Participants must provide their own golf clubs in order to participate

Matt Seifert

PGA of Canada Class "A", Teaching Professional

Matt has been a successful PGA of Canada Professional for 17 years, turning pro in 2005 after playing his College Golf in Lethbridge. After 15 years dedicated to being an exceptional Assistant Club Professional, he decided to focus on coaching/teaching the game he loves including the physical, mental and technical aspects. He enjoys teaching all levels of players, adapting to their unique goals and needs, and making the entire process as enjoyable as he can.

His goal for every student is to ensure a long term success plan, not just a quick fix. Matt applies his years of continuing education and experience by tailoring each lesson to find what the golfer wants and needs while considering their natural physical capabilities. He prides himself on his excellent communication skills and positive energy. Matt brings a wealth of global golf knowledge having worked, trained and collaborated with some great teams at many of the Top 100 courses on the planet.

Matt gives back to the game of golf everyday with his Grow the Game Golf Tour initiative which started in 2021. Through this initiative, he plans to explore all of rural Alberta golf clubs while promoting and educating small towns on the game that he loves while engaging future and current junior golfers on the sport.

Greg Johnson

PGA of Canada Class "A", Teaching Professional

Greg has been around the game of golf for 26 years, a summer job that turned into a passion and became a career. Greg has been a proud member of the PGA of Canada since 2009 and has been a Class “A” member in the association since 2016. Through his time as a PGA member Greg has developed a passion for teaching and coaching, focusing on technical elements of the swing and how a player’s physical and mental training can enhance their technical abilities.

Greg relies upon his industry experience to make organized and clear plans that students can reference in their journey to better golf, helping students set goals and a pathway to attain and exceed these goals. Whether it is a seasoned player or someone new to the game, Greg is dedicated to seeing constant improvement for his students.

Private lessons with Greg utilize industry leading technology such as Trackman, Boditrak, Hackmotion and Onform video analysis to provide tangible data that students can reference and use as performance gauge through the instructional journey.
