Fut’sal good!
CSSC Co-ed Turf Futsal Leagues are action packed. For those less familiar with Futsal, it is played with a smaller ball that has less bounce than a regular soccer ball. The rules are adjusted slightly to create an emphasis on improvisation, creativity and technique as well as ball control and passing. You can expect more ball touches, controlled plays and continuous action!
After your game, meet up with your teammates and other players to enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at one of the CSSC's many Sponsor Bars around Calgary.
Winter, Spring, Fall: 9-weeks
Summer: 8-weeks
All teams play once a week on the day they select when registering.
Evening Leagues: 6pm to 10:30pm
While our leagues are self-officiated, there is a Games Coordinator onsite to help manage equipment, time and scores. Games consist of two, 25-minute halves and a 5-minute half-time, and bookings are typically 1 hour long.
5 vs. 5 - Co-ed
Games are played 5 vs. 5 (including the goalie) with a minimum of one female player on the field.
Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.
Please note that the below divisions may not be offered every season or day. If you have any questions about the different skill levels or where to place yourself, just call us!
This division is for teams who are newer to the sport, or teams that consist of a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. Some players may still be learning the rules of Futsal, meaning the flow of the game will not always be natural. If the majority of players are experienced and skilled, then the team should move up to a higher level if available.
This division is for teams with mainly experienced Futsal players. The flow of the game will be quicker than the Recreational division as there will be fewer stoppages and rule clarifications. Players can dribble, pass, and shoot with accuracy and the team is looking for more of a challenge than the Recreational level. Not all players in this division are highly skilled, but players are experienced and knowledgeable in the sport.
When registering a full team, there is no limit to the maximum number of players you can have on the roster. Minimum female player requirements are inclusive of anyone who identifies as female. |
