It's time to try and get some "tries."
This Calgary Co-ed Flag Rugby League is a non-contact, fun-first league. This is the perfect opportunity for the ruck rookies or rugby enthusiasts who want to avoid injury while having a blast with their friends; or as we like to say... one of the world's most renowned sports with a whole lot less "ouch!"
After your game, meet up with your teammates and other players to enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at one of the CSSC's many Sponsor Bars around Calgary!
Spring, Summer: 8-weeks
All teams play once a week on the day they select when registering.
Evening Leagues: 6pm to 7:45pm
While our leagues are self-officiated, there is an Event Coordinator onsite to help manage equipment, time and scores. Games consist of two, 15-minute halves with a 5-minute half-time and bookings are typically 1 hour long.
These leagues are 'double opponent,' meaning you get double the fun: you get to play two matches each night against two different opponents.
7's - Co-ed
Games are played 7 on 7 with a minimum of two female players required on the field.
Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.
If you have any questions about the different skill levels or where to place yourself, just call us!
This division is for teams who are newer to the sport, or teams that consist of a mix of experienced and inexperienced players. Some players may still be learning the rules of Flag Rugby, meaning the flow of the game will not always be natural. If the majority of players are experienced and skilled, then the team should move up to a higher level if available.
