Event Coordinator Head Trainer (ECHT)

Part-Time, Flexible

The Calgary Sport & Social Club (CSSC) is a leading provider of adult recreational sports throughout the city, and we depend on a large group of volunteers called Event Coordinators (ECs) to help facilitate games in some of our sports. The EC Head Trainer will play an integral role in training, coaching, and supporting our ECs to ensure they are comfortable and effective in their roles. The ECHT will have a direct impact on creating positive league experiences for both our EC volunteers and players. 

This is an ideal position for an individual who has EC experience along with strong people skills and a flexible schedule. If you enjoy meeting and talking to new people and working in a team-based environment, this is the position for you! 

Contract: January 2025 - June 2025 (contract renews every 6 months if both parties are in agreeance).

Hours:

  • Part-time hours: 8 hours per week

  • 2-3 shifts per week: Sunday - Thursday

  • A combination of evening, daytime, and weekend work will be required

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and master the roles of all EC sports

  • Train and coach ECs

  • Perform EC and facility visits

  • Provide feedback to ECs

  • Perform equipment maintenance tasks

  • Support ECs via on-call number during game nights 

  • Participate in weekly goal setting meetings with manager

  • Complete special tasks and projects as required by manager

  • Complete administrative tasks (planning, data tracking, working within our database and systems)

Compensation

Wage Wage

  • $19.00/hour

  • Raises available with contract renewals

  • A bonus of up to $250 will be given based on contract fulfillment and performance metrics being hit
