CSSC 2009 CSSC ULTIMATE INFORMATION

General Description

Ultimate is an exciting, fast moving game, which combines the best aspects of football, soccer and basketball. It is a non-contact competitive team sport that is distinguished by its spirit of the game (the principles of fair play, sportsmanship, and the joy of play). It is easy to learn, fun to play and a great way to get fit! It's a 5 on 5 game, with a minimum of two females on the field at all times. Games are located throughout the city and are played on private rugby fields or City of Calgary large soccer fields. Four teams play at each field per night (2 matches each). All games have an Event Coordinator present to help facilitate games, but all players are expected to call their own fouls and manage the game. After your game, enjoy CSSC specials at one of our many Sponsor Bars around Calgary.

Who Can Play?

Adults aged 18 and older can join the Ultimate Frisbee leagues. All Ultimate Frisbee Leagues in the CSSC are co-ed and self-officiated. The level offered for the Fall 2008 season will be Recreational Plus. For a detailed description of this level, please see below. We welcome full teams, small groups (5 or more players but not a full team), friends (2-4 players) and individual registrations. Small groups, friends and individual registrations are combined with other similar registrants to form a team that remains together for the duration of the season. Click here for more info.
