You're spunky, you're fun and you get the job done! Your interest lie in events and entertainment, and you want to get involved. You seek a fun working environment and when given the chance, you run with it and can work independently. If this sounds like an interesting opportunity for you or someone you know, contact the CSSC about the Special Events Coordinator position!!

Start date: Continually hiring

Completion date: There is no completion date. Successful applicants will work at CSSC events throughout the year. The CSSC hosts 15+ events each year.

Hours: Evenings and weekends.
Post-tounament events are normally on Saturday nights, starting at ~5pm. Season Ending parties vary by season (usually a week night) and start at ~6pm. Most party helpers are finished by 10pm. Some tournaments also require an SEC onsite during the event; these shifts range from 4-8 hours and may be anytime during the day.


Rate of pay:
Party Organizer $11/hour
MC $50-100 per event. The rate of pay will be based on qualifications and past experience.
Sponsor Bar Representative $25 per visit + mileage
League Pics $11/hour + mileage

Responsibilities:
The repsonsibilities will vary depending on the event and the role or roles you assume. For full descriptions of each of the SEC roles, please see blelow.

The following responsibilities apply to all roles:
- Dress appropriately for the event (sporty yet stylish)
- Helpful and spunky attitude with all CSSC players and guests

DESCRIPTION OF EACH ROLE

PARTY ORGANIZER(S)
-
Transport of party materials to the event (banners, ballots, prizing, etc)
- Set-up/take down of bar
- Meet and greet people at the door in a host/hostess role
- Hand out ballots for door prizes and socialize with party-goers
- Take equipment returns from players at the parties
- Answer general queries and direct people around the party
- Assist with party events - assistant to the MC (off the mic), distribute league champ shirts
- Return of the party gear to the office
- Take photos at the event with the CSSC camera (Meet with CSSC managment prior to event to review equipment and photography tips)

MC
- Develop the party program in advance of the event. Meet with CSSC manager to share the program prior to Event night. The program will include creative and fun games or contests to run at the party. The CSSC will assist in obtaining the necessary tools to execute games - e.g. BEER!
- Meet with bar management or DJ before arrival to review logistics
- Present prizes to tourney/league champs, door prize winners; promote other CSSC events, thank the bar staff, etc.
- Main responsibility of the MC - Ensure the CSSC members are having FUN!

SPONSOR BAR REPRESENTATIVE
- Visit 1-2 CSSC Sponsor Bars each night to host our players Sun-Thurs evenings after the games
- Check-in with players at the bar
- Introduce yourself, get feedback on how the Sponsor Bar Program is running for them
- Meet with bar manager or staff; discuss the set-up and record feedback
- Problem solve as needed
- Organize door prizes and give away to players - Report results and feedback to CSSC office

LEAGUE or EVENT PICS
- Take photos at CSSC league nights and at event with the CSSC camera (Meet with CSSC managment to review equipment and photography tips)
- Help Party Organizer as needed at CSSC Events
- Main responsibility - visit CSSC leagues Sun-Thurs and take photos of CSSC players during the game, as well as team photos
- The camera must be picked up at the beginning of the week from the CSSC office, and dropped of at the end of each Thursday

Note: Roles are customized for each event. At smaller events, one Special Events Coordinator may perform both the Party Organizer and Event Pics roles. Coordinators may request to modify their role on a party-to-party basis. e.g. It is normal for a Coordinator to work a couple parties as a Party Organizer or take Event Pics before assuming the MC role.
