Becoming a GC will allow you to get involved and meet new people
in the league each night. This is a great opportunity to be a leader
and help coordinate CSSC league nights!
Positions available: Hiring All Year
General Overview:
On site coordinator at Floor Hockey, Basketball,
Indoor Soccer and Dodgeball games. Position involves overseeing
the games at a gym. Set-up, meet team captains, start games,
monitor the action by calling plays
or penalties as required and
file a report to the CSSC office. Active job, requiring 1 - 2 shifts
per week.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at gym 15 minutes prior to 1st game
- Organize equipment; get ready for the games. GC's are encouraged to interact with players.
- Introduce the captains before the game; discuss key rules, set
expectations.
- Monitor
the games by assigning penalties/fouls as required, moving along
the floor with the action and keeping score
- Complete a game report for each game and
submit to the CSSC office the morning following your shift
Start date: Week of September 26, 2010 (Training occuring the previous week)
Completion
date: Successful
coordinators may work year round; positions may continue into the
following season, depending on the employees' success in
the position.
Hours:
We prefer each GC to work between 8-12 hours per week but are willing to negotiate if GC wishes more or less hours; Sunday anytime, Monday
- Friday evenings.
Training and Team Builders: All training is paid for and there are team builders throughout the year which include pub nights, lazer tag, and our infamous Stampede Crawl..
Rate of pay:
$12-$15 per hour -
wage plus season end bonus. GC's also recieve a $60 credit towards playing in the league.
